Rittenhouse Square - 1972 Vinyl LP R2 Records Mitch Easter Stamey.
Ultra rare 6-song EP recorded in 1972 by North Carolina teenagers Mitch Easter, Pete Holsapple, Chris Stamey and Bobby Locke. Features five songs written by Easter and one by Holsapple. Easter later became famous as the leader of Let’s Active and producer of R.E.M. , game theory, pylon, pavement , Suzanne Vega, Marshall Crenshaw and others; while Holsapple and Stamey achieved cult status in the dBs and, later n Holsapple’s case, Continental Drifters. This was their highschool band. A very limited number of copies of this EP were released locally in 1973.
This copy has been play tested. No skips. Some noise during the first minute or so of the first track on side one which plays around a VG in that section. This LP grades around VG to VG+.
The original cover is missing. Cased in plastic sleeve with cardboard and description of the contents. If you have any questions please send a message, if you’d like a play test I can upload the imperfections noted on the first track.
Overall a nice copy for anyone seeking out this extremely rare record.
