Roach Motel -- Roach and Roll EP (Destroy -- 1982) Based on my ever-dimming memories of nearly 2 decades of reading Maximum Rocknroll, I think this one's pretty sought-after (can't find any recent listings on eBay, so either I'm wrong or it's really hard to find). Early-ish Florida hardcore, & pretty darned good -- haven't played it since the mid-'80s, I'm sure, but "I Hate the Sunshine State" popped immediately into my mind's ear when I skimmed the song titles last night.
I dunno if this was George (False Prophets/Iron Prostate/Furious George/et al.) Tabb's first band, but it had to be pretty close. He plays guitar on this one. Not sure where I bought the record (most likely the old Roads to Moscow in Tempe), but the $2.75 price tag is still affixed to the upper right corner. Those were the days ...
