Title: Captain Lockheed And The Starfighters
Artist: Robert Calvert (Hawkwind)
Catalog: UK United Artists UAG 29507. Pressed by EMI Records.
Jacket: Near mint minus and only for slight residue from a sticker that was removed on the front right middle side. It is transparent looking straight on and not a major distraction. The stapled in booklet is still intact, no splits or ring wear. The original custom inner sleeve is also included.
LP: Beautiful visual near mint. I played side one and it is very quiet. This is a beautiful original copy. The LP is housed in a separate rice paper inner sleeve.
Notes: Robert Calvert's 1st solo project. A concept album: Music/Theater - Captain Lockheed alternates between octane guzzlers in the classic Hawkwind vein and Monty Python-like vignettes.
Very hard/heavy Hawkwind sound on most tracks. Features Arthur Brown on vocals on two tracks.
Title embossed on cover in silver foil print.
Aircraft in artwork embossed on both front and back covers of gatefold jacket.
Printed (black paper) insert containing lyrics and dialogue stapled to inside center of gatefold.
Printed inner sleeve with German eagle in light blue on silver background.
