This is album VI of a 10 volume set of "Twentieth Century Poetry in English.  Contemporary Recordings of the Poets Reading their Own Poems"  selected and arranged by the Consultants in Poetry at the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C.,  circa 1950.    Each volume contains five 78 rpm records of the readings, along with printed pages providing biographies of the poets and the texts of the recorded poems.  Most albums are divided among five poets; in the cases of Robert Frost and T.S. Eliot, all five records in the album are devoted solely to their readings.
This volume includes "The Witch of Coos," "The Mountain," "Come In," "Mowing," "The Pasture," "Reluctance," "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening," The Most of It," "An Old Man's Winter Night," "Provide, Provide," "The Runaway," "Acquainted With the Night," "Choose Something Like a Star," "A Drumlin Woodchuck," "Why Wait for Science,"  "Departmental,"  "A Considerable Speck," "One Step Backward Taken," "On Looking Up by Chance at the Constellations," "A Soldier," "The Gift Outright," and "Directive."
The records all appear to be well preserved, unscratched and clean; the textual insert is in perfect condition.  There is wear to the spine of this album and the cover of the album is slightly soiled.
A rare opportunity to purchase historic recordings of Robert Frost.
I am also listing other volumes in this series.
