Description
Robert Pollard "Edison's Demos" LP. Limited pressing of 1000 copies on black vinyl. This is Bob's own solo/acoustic demos for Guided by Voices' "Earthquake Glue" album. Recorded over the course of just 5 hours on October 13, 2002 at the Warfleigh Labs. Bob plays all instruments and, of course, does all the singin'. What's neat is that some of the finished versions still feature some of the tracks recorded here. The "intro" to "Blasted But It's Easy" was most certainly held-over for the finished "Broken Brothers", for example. Released in 2004, this record is currently out-of-print and will likely remain that way. Record and jacket are like new, having been played twice. That's right, I've only played this record two times. Some fans prefer these versions to the finished product, I'm not one of them, even though this is a kick-ass batch o' Bob.
