Description
This is a clean LP copy (EX/VG+, both cover and vinyl) of Robert Pollard's initial entry in the Fading Captain Series (#1), Kid Marine. Pollard, of course, was the singer/songwriter/driving force in the late, lamented Guided By Voices (GBV! GBV!). But his prolific nature required more releases than even Matador Records could manage; thus, the Fading Captain Series, more or less self-released albums (many only on vinyl, at least initially) under various aliases. But at the start, Bob was still content to issue these in his own name. Kid Marine was the first Fading Captain release, and back in 1999/2000, it was issued in a limited release of 500 vinyl LP's. So this one's pretty rare.
