It is difficult to overstate the influence of Rock Music (and its many faces) in shaping the culture and musical tastes of the 1950's and the decades beyond.

Offered is what is regarded as "The" Song that motored Rock & Roll into the world's music scene, and the history books - (We're Gonna) Rock Around The Clock by Bill Haley And His Comets.

Perhaps it had something to do with a desire to break free from the lingering weariness following the end World War II. A strikingly similar occurrence after the end of World War I saw the birth of a brand new form of music called Jazz. Hard to overstate the importance of Jazz to the culture of "The Roaring 20's" and beyond.

THE SHELLAC - EXCELLENT

EX :  Both shellac surfaces retain much of their original gloss, with some spindlewear evident. 
Bright, undamaged, Black and Silver Decca Records Labels.  
Present on both sides are some light marks, including some scuffing and hairlines that produce occasional (not regular) background noise. 
There are no cracks, chips, or deep marks. The playback quality is strong and clear. 


A Note About The Recording Technology:
 
Shellac recordings used early sound recording manufacturing technology, and play with various levels of background "noise", and an occasional click or pop.

Our grading evaluations examine the record condition as a result of use after it was manufactured.



We have placed the Record into a separate, protective plastic sleeve.
It will be arranged into a sturdy mailer with plenty of protective packaging for its journey to you. These original, early recordings are great treasures, and while their shellac composition is brittle - we have not lost one yet!
We have a good deal of experience with the transit providers, and will prepare your mailer with great care.
