Description
Johnny Watson and his Night Owls. According to a European rockabilly website, this record was released in 1959. That's all of the information that I could find for it. Both sides of the record sport red-hot guitar and cool, cool piano breaks. According to the label, Cactus Records operated out of offices in Chicago, IL, and Portsmouth, VA. TITLES: LET'S ROCK(Rock And Roll Our Blues Away)/I'M NOT CRAZY(I'm Just In Love) COSMETICS: VG. The record still retains a lot of gloss, but also has a lot of surface scratches. No cracks. No chips. No warping. LABELS: Both are still bright and legible. No tears or writing. There is some minor wear from age. PLAYBACK: VG. Music-To-Noise ratio about 65/35. Still a lot of clarity on the vocals and instruments. Both sides play with pops and crackles, but not so much that it completely ruins the music. There is some heavier pops towards the end of the b-side. No skips. Please keep in mind before you bid, that this Johnny Watson, IS NOT Johnny "Guitar" Watson, the late African-American blues/R&B/funk/disco singer/guitarist.
