Description
Original, rare rockabilly 45 by The Three Ramblers on the OZARK label out of Sault Ste. Marie Michigan.
Although I live in N. Michigan I haven't been able to find anyone who is familiar with this label or group.
The A side is IF YOU CALL THAT LOVE and I would say that it owes a bit to Johnny Cash's FOLSOM PRISON BLUES.
The B side is some kicking rockabilly called WALKING,TALKING BABYDOLL.
If you're not familiar with these songs then check them out on Youtube where you can listen to them.
Vocals on both sides are credited to Jerold Boykin.
Since the folks at Rockin' Records have finally recognized the rarity of this gem and raised the NM value to $2500 - $3000 in their new(2011) guide, I decided it was time to sell this. I will start it at $10 but keep a reserve of $300. Any less than that and I might as well keep it in my collection.
The condition of this record is "pretty darn good for a 50 year old".
For those who need a better description: The vinyl is still glossy and shiny(See pic). The label has very little wear but someone has crossed out the street address with a felt pen(See pic). One edge of the record is raised slightly when it sits on my turntable(See pic). As you can see it is very slight and doesn't affect play.
I played both sides a couple of times so I could accurately describe the sound quality. There are light scuffs on both sides that provide some background noise but audible clicks were limited to about three revolutions on each cut and you had to listen close to even hear them. If you are concerned with this you can email me and we will set up a time where I can play the record over the phone for you so you can make your own determination. I did this last time I sold a rare 45 from my collection and it saves any misunderstandings.
For domestic shipping we will go with Ebay's $4 but insurance will have to be added later and the cost will depend on the final price. Email me when the auction ends and we can determine the cost.
International shipping has so many variables that we will have to figure it out later and the package will have to be insured. I will charge only the actual cost of shipping and insurance. Email me when the auction ends and we can determine the cost. If this is a problem then please don't bid.
If there are any questions than just email me before you bid and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
International shipping will have to be by Express Mail International. It looks like the cost will be around $30. Adding insurance to that will bring the total to around $50. In order for the package to be fully insured the actual value will have to be written on the customs form. The $50 estimate will be adjusted up or down to accurately reflect the actual cost based on where the package is going and the actual insurance cost which will depend on the amount of the final bid.
