Record Condition: VG- (see explanation below)
Labels: Yellow and black; labels in very good condition with minor wear, no writing and no stickers
The b-side is the rockabilly side and the reason to want this record. It has that early rockabilly sound, c. 1956, spare and basic. Both sides retain a lot of gloss but the a-side - which is a decent country song - skips throughout (maybe it needs another cleaning but it doesn't look much different from the rockabilly side). Now Got Another Baby has numerous surface marks and visually appears to be about a VG. However, toward the end of the song, it has two circular scratches that go all around the record. The first circular scratch is surface and is not heard. However, the second one goes deeper and for about 5-7 seconds, toward the end of the song, there is substantial background noise or a hiss. It plays through to the end without a skip or repeat. Were it not for this scratch, I would PLAY-GRADE the record a VG+, better than visual. However, because of this 5-7 second part with substantial background noise, I am docking the grade two notches to a VG- or a 4.
