Hippie Mountain Rural Rock Outfit This rural rock trio was based in California. Their debut album is an admirable effort – full of mid-paced rural rockers and touches of piano/organ. Where they pick up the pace and get more hard rock oriented is where they best tracks come into play. ‘Familiar Places’ is a solid rural rocker with strident guitar riffing. The piano/organ makes satisfying appearance on ‘Stranger In The Attic’, which was the lone tapped album single. The band goes a bit more-harder on ‘Rochester River’ and ‘Boogaloo Jungle’, the guitars a more aggressive and the melodies push harder – good offerings.
