From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this piece of classic UK rock music history, one that ties into one of the hardest rocking bands of all time – Motorhead. The Rocking Vickers. It’s Alright / Stay By Me PROMO 45. UK pressing. 1966. CBS. 202051. UK band 1963-67, notable for guitarist Ian Willis who became Lemmy of Motorhead. Record in Very Good condition, some scuffs and scratches that don’t affect play/ Liberty paper sleeve in Good Plus condition with seam split. NOTE ON SHIPPING: In these COVID times, there have been problems with international shipping from Australia beyond slow, or no, air mail. I’ve had a parcel to the UK damaged and another that was diverted from air mail to sea mail and, three months later, appears no closer to reaching Europe. Until things improve, I’m shifting to Express Air Mail. More expensive but if you’re bidding for a record you want to enhance the probability of getting it in good order. The other option is for Standard Air Mail but buyer pays for full insurance and the correct value of the record is noted on the customs form, which some buyers have been reluctant to do in the past.
