I have been collecting records for over 45 years and now I am selling some of my collection.


Rodriguez performed a live show in Sydney 1979 and this is the recording of the show. "Alive" vinyl LP is one of the rarest Rodriguez records in the world. Very few were pressed. 


This PROMOTIONAL Blue Goose Music label record is even rarer. I doubt there's a rarer Rodriguez record anywhere in the world than this one. I don't know how many promotional sample records of "Alive" were pressed but I know that it would be far less than than the blue label copies.


You will note that the label on the record is White and not blue. On the label it has the usual disclaimer that it is not for sale. The back of the cover has same disclaimer in gold print. Please see photos of both promotional disclaimers.


This is a rare opportunity to buy a truly rare copy of Rodriguez's "Alive" vinyl record. You may not have this opportunity again.

Grading based on Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:
Mint (M): No marks, no faults, as new
Near Mint (NM): Minor scuff marks that do not affect playback. 
Excellent (EX): No scratches; some visible light scuff marks on parts of the surface.
Very Good Plus (VG+) : Very minor light scratches, odd scuff mark but retaining original lustre. Well looked after.
Very Good (VG): Number of scratches and scuff marks; loss of original shine; spindle marks. Occasional audible pop and crackle.
Good (G): Considerable number of light scratches/scuff marks that will be audible.  
Posted items protected with cardboard mailers and plastic covers for LPs. Vinyl is taken out of covers to prevent cutting of seams. Both Cover and Vinyl is bubble wrapped for extra protection.
