Rodriguez~Original OZ LP Cold fact EX 1970 Psyche Folk Blue Goose
Rodriguez
Cold factRare Original OZ LP released in the early 70's on Blue Goose Records. Cat: BGM002.
Detroit artist Rodriguez made this little known major label psych classic in the late '60's which went on to become a huge hit in South Africa! Imagine a mixture of late '60s Donovan and 'Endless Journey' Acid Psych and that's what's on this disc. The tripped out "Sugar Man" is a fantastic piece of prime US '60s psych with weird electronic effects whilst "Only Good For Conversation" has some brilliant acid fuzz riffing. Mixing social protest and wigged out tripping this is one of the best '60s US psych albums that we've heard in a long while.
Tracks: Sugar man/ Only good for conversation/ Crucify your mind/ This is not a song, it's an outburst: or, the establishment blues/ Hate street dialogue/ Forget it/ Inner city blues/ I wonder/ Jane S. Piddy/ Gommorah (a nursery rhyme)/ Rich folks hoax/ Like janis.
Record has a few light scuff marks, there are a few light crackles throughout. Record is in Excellent condition. Cover has light ring wear, two small sticky tape stains on back top edge and a few tiny ripples across front from cella glaze lifting very slightly.
