Description
I bought this mono Rolling Stones record in December 1964. I have done lots of research on the record and can give the following information: Record Label: The label has the unboxed Decca logo and the Decca 'ear'; it is silver on red; it has 'Recording first published 1964; it has the 'Burlington Music' credit; it has the long version of 'Tell me'; It has 'I need you baby' and not 'Mona'; 'Honest I do' credit is Hurran, Calvert; it has 'Route 66' and not 'Get your kicks on Route 66'; it has K/T on the label; it has 'Made in England. The Decca Record Co. Ltd.' The matrix numbers are: Side one: XARL 6271-2A Side 2: XARL 6272-4A; the record label is grooved. I believe the record's cover is the third cover. It has 'Printed in England by McNeil Press, London, SE1.' on the back of the cover, bottom right hand corner; it includes the word 'mono' and 'LK 4605' in the top right hand corner on the back of the cover. The die-cut inner sleeve is lined with polythene and gives details of 'Handling' and 'Playing'. There is some hand writing on the back of the cover, top left hand side. There is some hand writing on the top right hand side of the inner sleeve. A name is written on both sides of the record label. As I no longer have a record player, I have not been able to play the record. The surface looks good, with just a few minor marks. If the sound of the record is not acceptable, I will reimburse on receipt of the returned record. Please look at the photos for condition of cover and record. I always took great care of my records when playing and storing them. It seems in good condition for being stored away for approaching fifty years!
