Only a very few released with the very rare miscredit of MONA instead of I Need You Baby . This major error was soon rectified and is scarcely found these days. This MONA miscredit is found not only on the record label BUT also on the sleeve. Impossible to locate nowadays especially in this remarkable condition .
Vinyl
Thick cut, heavyweight giant, gives a buzz when held. Mirror like surfaces with several surface marks / hairlines/odd scratch visible, if angled against a bright light. There is a feelable mark clearly visible S1Tr1 but is non audible.S2 tiniest scratch between tracks. Not obtrusive to music presentation. Very good/- visual .
Labels
Brilliant open ,red Decca label format with rare MONA miscredit. Excellent- with many spider lines visible . No damage to report .Fine examples of this very scarce issue.
Sleeve
MacNeill Press very early single sleeve with scarce miscredit of MONA on the track listing and also You can Make It You Try also miscredited and should read You Can Make it IF you Try. So two blatant errors on the reverse of sleeve making this a highly collectable item, as not many went through like this and was quickly rectified . VG+ condition . Only fault is some laminate splits along spinal edge and laterals . A fine exhibit and seldom found in this near excellent condition. Reverse face fairly clean and a pleasure to view. No rips, nor tears . A wonderful collectors’ item !!
Audio
NO distortion at all. At least very good !! Beautiful aural delivery from this mega rarity . Magnificent tones clearly projected in sensational style. The R&B stomps are awesome, each tone delivered with a concise definition and a razor sharp edge! Only some surface/static detected between tracks (plus the tiny scratch already mentioned)and very occasional during play, but remains very distant . The music is delivered through mostly clear channels with a tremendous depth of sound. A truly awesome piece of vinyl and do not underestimate the true investment quality of this record.
To find this scarce issue with a double miscredit on label and sleeve is a massive find for any keen collector and must not be missed.
Inner sleeve
Handling/playing text in a white sleeve Fair/Good condition
Will stand proud in any collection.Highly valued.Limited release.Becoming more difficult to track down now.
