You are bidding on a 4 LP lot on vinyl from the Rolling Stones.  These albums are from 1974 to 1981. There is a “Best Of,” album, and 3 studio albums. (See listing below).

We purchased these decades ago, played them (and enjoyed them), and they have been sitting in our home (vertically) for the last few decades.

Please remember that these albums were well taken care of, but were played as part of our record collection decades ago.  We have tried to show the condition on the photos included with this listing.

This item has been stored at room temperature, in a smoke free home.  Please see photos of actual item being sold.

Rolling Stones 4 Vinyl LP Lot:

It's Only Rock n Roll:  (Rolling Stones Records COC 79101; 1974) This LP was released in 1974.  The Cover is in excellent condition with slight wear on the corners. There is a small “Cutout Notch” on the top right of the front cover. The vinyl is in excellent condition.  The album comes with an inner-sleeve with picture and credit notes.

"It's Only Rock n Roll", like it's predecessor "Goats Head Soup" and follow up, ( a couple of years later), "Black and Blue " are underrated albums. The title track "It's Only Rock n Roll" and "If You Can't Rock Me" are the Stones at their swaggering best. "Dance Little Sister" is in the same vein. "Time Waits For No One" is a beautiful song. "Fingerprint File", a great number. "Luxury" another favorite. "Beggars Banquet", "Let It Bleed", Sticky Fingers" and "Exile on Main Street" are masterpieces. But the other two mentioned and this one are great albums. "Till the next goodbye" is a lovely song.

Made In The Shade:  (Rolling Stones Records COC 39107 1975) This LP was released in 1975.  It is a compilation containing hits from the first half of the 1970’s.

The Cover is in VG+ condition with wear on the corners. The vinyl is in excellent condition.  The album comes with an inner-sleeve with arty pictures.

“ All the U.S. hits from 1971 through 1974 are here -- "Brown Sugar," "Wild Horses," "Happy," "Tumbling Dice," "Angie," "Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)," "It's Only Rock 'n Roll" -- and they're balanced out with some sharp, hard-driving album tracks like "Dance Little Sister," "Rip This Joint," and "Bitch," the latter of which was played enough on the radio and in concerts to seem like one of their genuine hits”.

Emotional Rescue:  (Rolling Stones Records COC 16015; 1980)

This LP was released in 1980 and contains the hits “Hot For Her” and “Emotional Recue.”  There is no poster with this issue.  The cover is in excellent condition, with only very slight wear on the corners. The vinyl is in excellent condition. This issue contains a clear plastic inner sleeve

“Coasting on the success of Some Girls, the Stones offered more of the same on Emotional Rescue. Comprised of leftovers from the previous album's sessions and hastily written new numbers, Emotional Rescue may consist mainly of filler, but it's expertly written and performed filler. The Stones toss off throwaways like the reggae-fueled, mail-order bride anthem "Send It to Me" or rockers like "Summer Romance" and "Where the Boys Go" with an authority that makes the record a guilty pleasure, even if it's clear that only two songs -- the icy but sexy disco-rock of "Emotional Rescue" and the revamped Chuck Berry rocker "She's So Cold" -- come close to being classic Stones..”

Tattoo You:  (Rolling Stones Records COC 16052; 1981) This LP was released in 1981, and was considered one of the Stones’ best 1980’s albums. This LP includes the hits “Start Me Up,” and “Waiting For A Friend,” but really the whole LP is very high quality. The Cover is in excellent condition. The vinyl is in excellent condition.  Please see photos.  This issue contains a printed inner sleeve. (See Photos)

“Like Emotional Rescue before it, Tattoo You was comprised primarily of leftovers, but unlike its predecessor, it never sounds that way. Instead, Tattoo You captures the Stones at their best as a professional stadium-rock band. Divided into a rock & roll side and a ballad side, the album delivers its share of thrills on the tight, dynamic first side. "Start Me Up" became the record's definitive Stonesy rocker, but the frenzied doo wop of "Hang Fire," the reggae jam of "Slave," the sleazy Chuck Berry rockers "Little T&A" and "Neighbours," and the hard blues of "Black Limousine" are all terrific. The ballad side suffers in comparison, especially since "Heaven" and "No Use in Crying" are faceless. But "Worried About You" and "Tops" are effortless, excellent ballads, and "Waiting on a Friend," with its Sonny Rollins sax solo, is an absolute masterpiece, with a moving lyric that captures Jagger in a shockingly reflective and affecting state of mind. "Waiting on a Friend" and the vigorous rock & roll of the first side make Tattoo You an essential latter-day Stones album, ranking just a few notches below Some Girls.”
