Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet

Ultra rare UK Mono lp LK4955

Late 60's Mono pressings of Stones lps are very hard to come by and this is no exception. Never released at the time in the States the mono remix is very desirable to the collector. It sold only a few copies before being deleted and is consequently very rare indeed.

The record labels are excellent. There are some spider marks at the centre indicating that the record has been played but othwerwise they are flawless with no writing, tears or stickers. Lovely. The record is in very good condition. The vinyl is clean and shiny without the distortion inducing "greying" that 60s mono lps are prone to. It does have a number of tiny surface marks but these are only visible under a strong light. There is almost no background noise due to these marks. There is a quite long mark which appears a little deeper on side one but this only makes a light sound in between tracks and is virtually inaudible during the tracks. There are of course no skips or jumps.

The cover is in very good condition. It is clean and free from writing. The laminate is shiny and intact apart from a little corner wear. The spine is in excellent condition with none of the laminate lift this lp is so prone to. The spine has a little wear at the top and bottom, a couple of creases and one light graze but none of these are serious. The seams are free from wear except at the corners particularly at the top opening where there is a small split. There is a 1cm tear at the back opening which has been well repaired. There are a couple of light creases but nothing serious.

This one doesn't come up that often, especially with such a low start (and no reserve). This copy isn't perfect but it plays very well indeed. Most 60s mono copies have long seen better days. This one still has a lot of life in it. If you're a Stones fan treat yourself and you can have fun playing spot the difference with the stereo mix.
