Description
First of all let me assure potential bidders that a) I know my vinyl and b) I will show you exactly what you are bidding on.
What we have here is a Mono 1st pressing of the Rolling Stones 1967 album "Between the Buttons". Further information and history regarding this album can be found (here).
This particular copy is the UK pressing. The actual heavyweight vinyl is in very good shape overall - bright and shiny and not dirty. There are two very light surface scratches which do not affect playback at all and are barely audible. Both sides play equally well and there is no loss of sound quality. I have tested the playability of this album on a very good turtable and it tracks perfectly. As I have clearly shown there are signs on the record label of inaccurate spindle insertion., but any white spots on the vinyl images are only reflected light. The front of the laminated outer sleeve is quite good, having two or three creases on the right side, but the back can only be described as poor. Four of the songs have been underlined in blue biro, the cardboard is discoloured with age and handling, and there are several badly worn areas where there is missing text. I have done everything I can to show this damage in my images. The inner sleeve is original, and is also considerably yellowed with age, but it is still serviceable.
So there you have it. This is a completely honest and transparent description of this item so you know precisely what you are looking at and hopefully the winning bidder will have no grounds for complaint!
This is a very rare item for any dedicated Rolling Stones collector/enthusiast. It is still desirable in virtually any condition, and you could do a helluva lot worse. What I haven't done is try and dress this one up as something it is not, and I hope this small but important fact will be appreciated by all.
