Rolling Stones - Collector's Only - Vinyl LP - 1980 German Pressing Decca Records - 6.24321 - 1980 - German Pressing/UK Import/Retail Original Hertie Price Sticker. They didn't shrinkwrap most LPs in UK at the time. Often you picked out a cover, and they pulled the actual LP from stock and inserted into the cover. Some stores were handwrapping. Hertie was nice enough to pack and ship my loot for a reasonable fee.
Odd little bit of kit, innit? Copped this on a record company junket to see the bands we were selling.
This is from my personal collection, acquired while working for the Record Bar chain in the 70's & 80's. I have tried to describe each LP as accurately as possible and encourage you to examine each of the pictures carefully. Questions are welcomed. Please keep in mind these are first and foremost 35+ year old collector's items, and that vinyl LPs of that time were commodities, produced quickly, bulk shipped and racked. Most that I offer for sale were either promos, second copies or just acquired to collect. Many of the LPs without shrinkwrap were either "cleans" received from label reps as promotional quid pro quos or imports that were not originally shrinked. Promos are (mostly) marked with stamps, sawcuts or labels and will be noted as such and are mostly first pressings. These have been stored in a temperature controlled room in repurposed record store LP storage browsers.
Cover Quality: Excellent
Inner Sleeve Quality: Excellent but has age spots. Common for things of this age.
Vinyl Appearance: Prefect. Wish I looked this good.
Vinyl Flatness: Perfect.
Spindle Marks: None
Play Quality: Not going to
Shrinkwrap: None (they didn't) Look closely at pics for details. I hate pulling discs out for pictures because they immediately attract dust.
