A note on my approach to selling records: Listings of records on eBay often fall short of detail both visually and descriptively, which can lead to disappointment. I take revealing photos, sometimes in harsh light, so that you can actually see what you’ll get. I also describe honestly what you’ll hear. I tend to under-grade slightly, so I hope you will be pleased with your purchase and get what you expect (or more) – please see my feedback for records sold.

JAMMING WITH EDWARD

CONDITION:

Sleeve: VG+

See photos - Thick card American sleeve in clean condition both sides. Minor light corner wear, one or two very light short creases, and some minor small indentations on the back. The spine is still in very good condition for an old American sleeve, still intact end-to-end and legible.

Inner sleeve: VG+

Original square white inner with the tongue logo. Short seam split along the centre of the bottom edge, otherwise in very good condition.

Labels: NM

No signs of play whatsoever, 'as new'.

Vinyl-visual: NM

Looks unplayed. One or two what might be called light 'sleeve' marks or pressing marks, nothing more.

Vinyl-aural: MINT

Plays like new from beginning to end. A really good jam! A pleasure to listen to.

GRADING:

I follow RECORD COLLECTOR guidelines, and use Good (G or G+), Very Good (VG or VG+), Excellent (EX or EX+), and Near Mint or Mint. The majority of the records I sell range from VG+ to Near Mint, and come from my collection of over 1,500 albums and singles. I listen to them on a Rega Planar 3 turntable.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

(FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced).

DELIVERY:

All records are sent Royal Mail 1st Class Signed-For in custom record mailers.
