Let It Bleed
Stereo recording , offered with a rare Viktor Khan/ Mick Jagger poster!!!! Audio is in the stereo perspective, and has a massive range of dynamic sound, compared to the mono releases! Complete with original blue, LIB inner sleeve, and a beautifully, laminated album cover! Would stand proud, in any serious, vinyl collection.

It is believed that there were four different versions of Let it Bleed in the shops during December 1969 and all were considered to be first pressed, original pressings of this awesome Stones classic .i.e. unboxed red mono /boxed red mono/blue unboxed/blue boxed Decca, label formats. This particular release is believed to fall into the category of one of the earliest pressed , stereo pressings of Let It Bleed even though a boxed logo.
The criteria for a first issue boxed Decca is as follows:
-Album cover has “Sleeve printed in England” text on lower right of reverse face with peephole top right, to determine if mono/stereo release
-A sticker was placed on front face of album cover, to indicate that a poster was enclosed with this record . Therefore, this is the original album sleeve of December 1969 as sticker is displayed accordingly
-Poster was included with all 1st issue releases .They are usually glossy but this appears more matt and is the one enclosed with this LP. The paper manufacture is thicker than later reissues, and appears to be a transitional example with a mid /matt finish. Very rare to locate as later ones were paper thin .
-Uncensored blue/white lyric inner sleeve without a black block across London Bach Choir credit. Later reissues have this censored sleeve as they did not wish to be affiliated with this album as they took offence to the LIB format .
-Late 1969/1970 dark navy blue label format, has speed text on left above the BIEM/NCB logo .Later 1970 issues did not have the speed 331/3 text on any of the labels .It was omitted! This is one of the earliest formats of the boxed logo release.
Hence from the information above, we can assume that this particular boxed Let it bleed release, is one of the earliest late 1969/1970 originals ,confirmed also by the 1/1 mothers located at 9 o’clock on each run off of the vinyl. This LP was produced from the master cut and is quite an exceptional exhibit.
Single, laminated sleeve in excellent condition . Minor lifting of the laminate along some of the left lateral, spinal edge. Minor creasing visible if angled against a strong light. Ultra clean example, with no rips/nor tears noticeable. Has peep hole on reverse and is stickered , to increase the value of this very early album cover. Lovely clean reverse with Made in England text .Spinal column is tapered at each end and in excellent condition.
Sticker has not been attempted to be removed and is in excellent + condition.
The Stones’ poster is also present. Just a couple of folds, located on upper part ,where poster has been stored incorrectly. Excellent+ condition, with a thicker paper manufacture. Rare example of this must have piece of historic memorabilia .
Labels
Boxed, navy blue ,Decca label format in excellent condition. This record has evidence of a playing history and there are several spindle lines visible. No mottling, nor peeling. No spindle wear . No rips, nor tears ! Excellent examples of this early boxed stereo variant .
Vinyl
Has an excellent, mirror like sheen with the surface maintaining its original deep gloss .Thick cut, heavy weight feel and a pleasure to view. If angled against a strong light, there are a few faint, surface marks which do not affect the audio . There is one visible hairline across a part of the final track, side 1 but is cosmetic only. Sensational visual as most of the marks disappear beneath its staggering sheen!
Blue inner lyrics sleeve in ex condition. Uncensored, 1st issue format. Some light creasing visible only. A fine exhibit.
(((Audio)))
Beautiful, tonal execution . Minimal, surface disturbance. Stereo recording heard at its very best. Will find difficult to match! Excellent aural delivery ! There is still dust lifting from the grooves, as the vinyl has lain dormant for many years. Delivery will get even better , the more it is played ! No serious problems at all .
Recordings ,with excellent aural deliveries, are becoming more and more difficult to locate against this album release. The stereophonic perspective conveys a delightful audio, quite different from its mono counterpart, delivering a dynamic range of sound and a much more elaborate imagery from its base channels.
A remarkable example of the Rolling Stones best-selling, album release, considered to be one of the first originals of December 1969/early 1970, complete as it was, all those years ago.
