A “once in a lifetime” opportunity, to own the complete and THE EARLIEST ,first UK  pressing, of this astronomical STONES’ release .

This sensational Let it Bleed release is offered to you in complete format. Comes with the exceptionally rare ,original LIB promotional booklet, which only came with a few very early 1st pressings, reputedly only the very first 100 were issued with this PROMO booklet. Therefore, a very low numbered edition catalogue booklet . Full colour poster included .  Excellent red open Decca label format ! Impossible and hardly found like this! Mega rare STICKERED sleeve with manufacturing credits- made in England and  text “Upton printing Group”- ultra rare album cover with peep hole on reverse!!! Not the later Clout & Baker reissue album sleeve!!! Red inner sleeve without the blacked out Choir credits, confirming the earliest original ,with track listing  in  ex condition. Vinyl thickly pressed and has mirror like surfaces. Superb exhibit of this highly sought after Stones’ release !

The LIB promotional booklet has the LIB design on front page. A six page exclusive which features stunning pics of The Stones and a full , comprehensive back catalogue of LP/EPs/and singles issued up to, and including LIB album release. The booklet only accompanied a HANDFUL of the earliest first UK pressings, as all the LPs featured in the booklet all have mono and stereo catalogue numbers, and of course mono was discontinued in 1970 .Virtually impossible to locate now and a magnificent collectors’ item. The promo booklet has a Mint value £500 alone without the album! The booklet is in superb condition. No rips nor tears and staples are strongly attached, though I have not handled very much as it is worth a small fortune .There are some light fingerprint impressions, a fine thinning on one minor area on front page, and nothing more. Vg/+/EX- at least .

These mono releases are becoming rarer by the day and to locate one in this COMPLETE condition is remarkable. This particular album was released around the time of the stereo initiation, the launch of a new sound dimension. Obviously, the public’s demand for the stereo format hit the roof, so the mono copies were phased out fairly quickly as they produced low public demand at the time. Some were even scrapped as many did not sell, and production ceased very rapidly , hence the apparent rarity of this beautiful vinyl. Rest assured that the ones that were bought were played and played into submission, taken to wild parties, used and abused big time, with the result of most copies being found with massive groove wear and  surface damage .

This album presentation I have scrutinised extremely carefully and in my opinion is a superb, highly collectable example of this huge Stones release, as it is offered in complete format with the ultra rare and original LIB promotional booklet. And it is one of the first to run off the factory press with THE earliest 1A matrices and the earliest possible mothers/stampers e.g. -1 / -1 on BOTH sides of the vinyl !!This is certainly one for the serious collector.

 RED Decca unboxed 1st issue format .Ex with no rips nor tears. Few spindle lines only and in excellent condition!!! Appear stunning against the highly polished , jet black vinyl surfaces. Silver text unfaded and projects magnificently against the deep blood-red, scarlet coloration. Ffrr ear logos absolutely perfect and are beautiful examples of the first issue!!!  NO mottling, NO peeling, NO hand writing, NO lifting. NO crusting! NO hand writing of any kind.

Inner red sleeve

-THE original with no blacked out choir credits. THE first issue red MONO inner track sleeve with NO rips, NO tears, NO seam splits!!!! Just a few creases observed. So lightly handled and in EX/- condition with hardly any discoloration visible. An absolute gem .So hard to locate like this. One of the better examples!

Poster

The Victor Khan 1st issue original !!!!  Some handling impressions visible ,toward the lateral edges . Seven minor clean cuts into Jagger’s face, right side beneath central fold. Not very pronounced and difficult to pick up from a visual point of view.One cm missing on vertical fold, lower mid edge .Most are found missing from this monumental classic, so we are blessed to find it still present .

Album sleeve

1st issue,  Upton Printing text on lower right edge of reverse face . Made in England. Peep hole on reverse and patent applications text. Reverse face quite clean apart from one vertical ink mark lower left. Pinched spine clearly shows title. Lamination still reflects a distinctive gloss. One moderate corner crease , also visible on reverse face. Minimal ring wear . Superb example of the earliest album sleeve . Excellent- condition. A wonderful collectors’ item .

Hardly any feathering to opening edge and comes complete with THE original first issue sticker which is in excellent condition. Lower left contour, creased very slightly ,otherwise no signs of it lifting at all.This sleeve increases in value and collectability if the sticker is still on the front face as believe it or not, many sleeves do no longer have this ultra rarity, as they were always being removed!! So scarce now to find in this superb condition .

 Vinyl

Highly polished with a mirror like sheen . Highly desirable record indeed as after 40 years , it still appears in very good condition. See pics to whet your appetite!!! A pleasing visual!! Thick and  solid , a heavy weight pressing and gives a buzz when held. A few surface marks/hairlines/light scratching visible if angled against the light. One scuff along one of the tracks but no serious flaws. Lovely sheen to the surfaces.

Audio

The depth of sound is quite remarkable and the tones are conveyed with a pinpoint precision and a razor sharp edge!

Side 1 VG Some light static during the quieter parts of the music only. A few light scratches, producing the odd light tick, but do little to affect music presentation .

Side 2 VG - /VG

Midnight Rambler- couple of audible scratches, one longer 20 revs, resulting in faint ticks (grading dips to G+/VG- ). S2 Final track-audible scratch giving 6 clicks (VG-).No serious sticks nor jumps!

The most important feature of this audio is its concise delivery, each note delivered sharp and clear with minimal distortion detected. This is very rare to find on a monotone recording where the heavy styli of the sixties bore into the grooves causing considerable sound distortion.  I have laboured through plenty of vinyls to locate that scarce clarity of delivery, not so much through the channels, but of the tones themselves. It is this feature that rates the true value of a vintage classic.

Well, what more can I say. A highly collectable example of this album release  and lies tantalisingly within your grasp. Comes COMPLETE with the ultra rare promotional LIB booklet/catalogue ,original poster , scarce stickered album sleeve, and the mono, original ,red inner sleeve.

An extremely rare exhibit and of true investment quality in its complete format .
