Description

DESCRIPTION: Rolling Stones 1st self titled LP. Front laminated non- flipback sleeve, matrices ending 1W/1W. Of course it includes the short demo 2:52 version of "Tell Me". This is the earliest matrix possible, reportedly only about 2000 were made and looking at the sales of other 1st presses , this 1st press is the one with the least surviving copies. Red Unboxed Grooved Decca labels. Complete with original poly lined "handling/playing" inner. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Decca LK 4605 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1964. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: U.K CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG/EX. Vinyl is clean with a decent sheen with some light hairlines/brushing lines. Played in its entirety twice on my budget deck this week. (My decent deck is awaiting repair). Sounds very Near EX. It has a very occasional intermittent tick (mainly confined to track 1 side 1) but the music is very loud and prominent throughout. Its a very loud mix/cut. Music is clean, clear and loud. Cover is a great example. Its nice and flat without the usual heavy creasing down the opening edge. It has only light edgewear, cornerwear and creasing. Spine is fully ledgible and in decent shape. Rear of sleeve is still very clean and white. It has the remnants of a small white sticker near to the MONO on rear sleeve. Inner is in Near EX condition with light wear only and no splits- vinyl has been kept in a seperate white inner. No writing, rips, sticker or sticker tears. Please note UK postage cost depends on final value and must be fully insured. It will be between £7 and £9. Please wait for invoice. Overseas bidders will also need to wait for invoice for correct postage cost with correct insurance. Im selling this to raise funds for some other records so I have a price in mind Id be happy with. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER STONES AND CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
