Description
Title: Sticky Fingers
Artist: The Rolling Stones
Catalog Number: COC--59100Label: Rolling Stones
Cover: EX A well-preserved survivor with a perfect working zipper. The die cut at the belt is perfect and sharp. Just the slightest wear in a couple of places on the mouth of the jacket and very minor corner bumps. NO SPLITS. A beauty. . Custom inner sleeve has NO SPLITS.
Record(s): EX+ Most reputable sellers would say NM but there are a few very superficial marks under the halogen. They are faint, not needle marks. Possible from manufature. A very faint sleeve swipe visible only under bright light when held at an angle. Lead ins are clean. Perfect player. There is a small manufacturing defect that DOES NOT affect play on the track "Moonlight Mile." Discoloration more than anything else. "PR" in dead wax on both sides. Etched "Rolling Stones Records" both sides.
GUARANTEED ORIGINAL PRESSING! "1841 BWAY, NY, NY" on label perimeter.
About Me:
I am first and foremost a collector. I have been collecting and enjoying recorded music on vinyl since 1973. I know how to grade. You will not see a lot of NM grades because it is a very high standard.
Per Goldmine:
NM Essentially like new. No marks on record other than those very slight imperfections that might be caused in manufacturing or from shifting in a sealed record cover. A VERY HIGH standard. Record possibly unplayed. This means no sleeve swipes visible in good light.
EX+ iis the highest end of the spectrum of Goldmine’s VG+ grading and will normally delight any serious collector. This is JUST short of NM. Exceptional gloss. Only a few very superficial faint marks, usually sleeve swipes, that DO NOT AFFECT PLAY. Clean lead in bands. Possibly some marks on the very highest part of the rim, below which the stylus is placed. The kind of record that looks NM when examined carefully in good light. (The VAST majority of all "NM" records that I have purchased on ebay are actually EX+.)
EX is the middle of the VG+ spectrum and will satisfy music lovers who want to enjoy the music without distraction. Retains most of the original gloss. Only very faint needle marks visible under good light, some on the lead in section of the outer band. Nothing that can be felt when gently passing your fingernail across the mark. A few more sleeve swipes. Still a great record that, when properly cleaned, will play perfectly. No clicks, no ticks, no pops caused by the stylus crossing the mark.
EX- is the lower end of the VG+ spectrum, but still qualifies a VG+ Goldmine rating. More visible marks but none can be felt and none should affect play. Maybe a little loss of gloss but most of that should come back when properly cleaned. Still a collection worthy record that will be enjoyed WITHOUT DISTRACTION when properly cleaned.
Unfortunately, overgrading is epidemic on ebay, requiring buyers to “do the math” in their head to estimate an actual grade. My grades are solid and satisfaction is guaranteed.
I only sell collectible albums (VG+ or better) and I grade strictly using a halogen lamp. Anything that doesn’t meet the grade goes in the garbage. I don’t want it. You don’t want it. No need to hold on to it.
