The Rolling Stones ‘Their Satanic Majesties Request’ - unplayed original 1968 Japanese gatefold copy!
Manufactured by King Record Co. Ltd. Tokyo. Japan.
London Records cat no. SLC 192. (p) 1968
Long deleted original Japanese pressing; ultra rare!
Gatefold in heavy card with lyrics inside and Japanese sleeve notes.
Unlike other issues, the front sleeve has a silver ink border around the printed band picture and has the album title & band name across the top border.
The crop and position of the front band pic is slightly different to other releases. The band is slightly closer up, and the photo positioned a bit to the right compared to a rare New Zealand copy that I am shortly to auction.
Condition: Mint and almost unplayed*!
Sleeve is almost perfect, hardly any contact wear from sitting in my shelves.
*Label shows one light spindle mark betraying that I did play side one just once in the 35 or so years I’ve had it.

This LP is the sixth of 14 overseas Rolling Stones Decca LP releases I acquired in the 70’s as a trade from someone at Decca.
Releases from Japan, Australia, Argentina,Venezuela, Spain, Jamaica, New Zealand, etc. They’ve all been sitting unplayed on my shelves until now.
