EARLIEST 1st UK PRESSING with UNCORRECTED MATRIX NUMBERS

This is the earliest 1967 UK Unboxed and Grooved Decca blue and silver mono, ear logo label format

1st press, red smoke inner sleeve

Fantastic lenticular gatefold, 1st issue sleeve, printed by R . Stace.

This record has the hugely scarce and uncorrected matrix endings 1P and P1 endings that I have tried to show on the photos attached. This was an error that was corrected on later issues.

Virtually all 1st pressings have this matrix correction on side one but this one has no corrections and is in the original issue state. Extremely rare in this condition.

The label is the blue Decca Mono and is in the wide ridged format with ear logo and Ffrr credits . There are some minor spindle lines and fingerprints visible on the labels but otherwise the record and labels are clean having  no writing or other marks. There is a split and small tear on the lateral of the original red smoke inner but these do not detract from the original clean and bright condition of the inner. Still a vibrant red.

There is a small tear about two inches long on the middle of the bottom of the gatefold which I have tried to show on the photos attached, again it is unnoticable and does not detract in any way from the generally excellent condition of the gatefold.

The gatefold sleeve is the earliest first issue album cover, with the deeper, turquoise blue coloration, which differs from the later pressings. Lovely lenticular 3D hologram gatefold picture sleeve in excellent condition . A first issue MONO sleeve so hard to locate and a genuine vintage example with no discoloration to its bright colours. The laminated sleeve still has a glossy sheen with plenty of clear movement displayed from the hologram . Sixties psychedelia at its best. This is the mono sleve printed by Robert Stace. Minor laminate lifts on the spine and some minor corner damage (see photo) but this does not detract. There is no laminate lift whatsoever to the front or back but there is some minor corner hitting as expected.  The Mono TXS 103 box is printed on lower edge of spine to confirm the earliest issue and is NOT the over pasted label on some of the later versions .

NO feathering to the opening edge . The gatefold opens to a beautiful and extremely clean inner face with psychedelic artistry . There are strong colours and looks almost new! No marks whatsoever. You can see the tear I mentioned earlier, see photo. It does not detract whatsoever.

This album sleeve in itself, is worth the money!

The Vinyl itself is the usual heavy weight pressing produced in the late 60's. There are some minor visible extraction marks but no scratches. The vinyl appears very lightly played with a polished reflection when held in light indicating careful playing and handling. Once again have a look at the photos. I have not attempted to clean the surfaces.

It is a must for any serious collector. Absolutely amazing for a vintage Stones classic release.

Without a doubt, one of the best examples of one of the rarest Stones classic album releases.
