Description
I’m continuing to downsize my vinyl collection. The LP in this auction is a MONO PRESSING. Please check out my other auctions for more MONO Pressings, too.
In this auction:
· “THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST” by the Rolling Stones
· This is London Records NP-2.
· This is the RARE MONO (Monaural) PRESSING.
· The MONO PRESSING is much less common & much harder to find than the Stereo Pressing.
· This LP was issued in 1967 and has the ORIGINAL 3-D IMAGE on the cover.
· The cover is a GATEFOLD COVER.
· The vinyl comes in its properly marked MONO NP-2 COVER. (Please see images.)
· The COVER is in VG CONDITION. There are some light scuffs on the 3-D image. A previous owner made some repairs to the cover that I’ve listed: There is about 4 inches of damage on the spine with some repairs done with blue paper; the bottom left corner of the front cover must have been torn, because the tear is now colored in blue ink to make the tear less noticeable; a 6-inch seam split on the bottom of the front cover has been repaired/glued; a 10-inch seam split on the bottom seam of the rear cover (that holds the vinyl) has been repaired/glued; a 4-inch seam split on the top seam of the rear cover (that holds the vinyl) has been repaired/glued. There is some wear at the top and bottom of the spine.
· The VINYL is in VG CONDITION. There is some wear around the labels.
· This LP also comes with its ORIGINAL RED PAPER INNER SLEEVE that has a 2-inch split on one side and a 3-inch split on the bottom.
· Inside the gatefold cover is a maze/labyrinth on the left side. (Please see images.) How many times have you found this LP (stereo pressing included) where someone decided to use a pen to draw the route to the center “It’s Here” space? Too many times, right? But, NOT THIS ONE!
· Despite the blemishes and repairs/gluing, the LP cover still looks relatively nice.
· It’s a HARD-TO-FIND MONO PRESSING OF THIS ROLLING STONES LP to add to your vinyl collection! It definitely reflects the “Psychedelic ‘60s”.
