Description

An original 1st mono press of TTPD on the UK Decca label. Matrix 2A/3A. The vinyl comes housed in an original hexagonal shaped cover with exposed flipbacks [very 1st issue]. Also included is the original red and white mono hexagonal inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In decent condition despite a moderate level of use. Expect a few marks per side - but nothing sinister or heavy looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a varying level of playback. The louder tracks like JJF & SFM play super with little signs of background. In fact most of side 1 is at the VG+ level. But expect some background throughout some of the quieter tracks on side 2 - e.g. 'Rainbow' & 'Ruby Tuesday'. Nothing that really spoils the tracks, but it is most certainly noticeable. If you are in any way fussy about this I would, perhaps, think about looking for another copy. But if you can deal with a bit of background in the lower key tracks - then by all means consider this 1st mono original. When it's on song you can't beat the STONES at full volume mono. It's the full package!
Cover (Vg+) Can often be found looking in pretty poor condition, but this example has survived the years relatively untarnished. Front and back are relatively clean and without creasing. There is a small amount of laminate bubbling going on in a couple of spots - no big deal. The interior looks great - no issues. Edge wear is relatively slight particularly given this is the hexagonal 1st issue. The spine is actually in much better condition than you typically find. With all text perfectly visible and barely any wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) A bit of light ageing. No splits. Better than your average copy.
