Description
Rolling Stones,Beggars Banquet,LP, Catalogue Number: (LK 4955), Cover Details: Front laminated gatefold sleeve with a Company inner sleeve.
Cover Condition: very good condition with some creasing or marks as seen in the pictures or noted.
Record Condition: Has been played a fair amount and clearly shows surface marks which are likely to affect play in some way with background noise in most of the quiet parts & possibly the odd click but should not jump or skip.
Any Other Details: Original mono pressing, on the silver and red Decca record label with unboxed Decca logos. There are several label variants for this LP, after consulting the website "Stones on Decca" we believe this to be the first version, there are no brackets around the inverted matrix number above the catalogue number, Mirage music is under the Biem MCB box on the left, the J/T tax code is at the bottom of the label, the tracks are listed in times new roman style font, the side indications are on the left side of the spindle hole. Matrix numbers XARL-8476-4A & XARL-8477-3A. This record has been listened to and on our record player it played without any jumps or sticks, both sides have scuffs and feelable marks but the play back was close to excellent with only a few minor background crackles. Side two track three has several light pops. The sleeve is printed by Garrod and Lofthouse. The front has a 6cm score mark in the laminate at the bottom edge, it has caused a tiny surface tear/blob of white on the bottom edge but no other problems. The bottom edge has a 1cm seam split at the opening and the back corner is knocked with a couple of small (mm) long tears just above the bottom edge, there are a couple of small creases near the spine, this is still a good solid sleeve, its just been handled a bit too much for an excellent grade
