I have downgraded the cover due to some cello tape removal, That is just about visible on the back cover. Front cover looks brilliant and spine is flawless.
The inner cover shows some signs of age, but is very clean. It is the original, anti static, blue Square, Decca inner and is still very much fit for purpose.
The poster has a very slight split seam and one corner has a small dog ear, this was caused by the record being pulled in and out. I have placed poster in a separate protective clear cover to preserve it for the future. This poster is ultra rare! and considering that it is an original vintage poster from the late sixties, early seventies, looks really cool for its age. I recommend framing it and putting it up on the wall. It will look brilliant!
The record sounds marvelous, and the crowd going wild on side B really gives you a feel of the swinging sixties.
Recently I did a short review for the Aftermath album, which I regard as a rock masterpiece and a high mark in UK culture.
I made a case for this album being a gateway to punk and other observations.
I was absolutely delighted when I heard Under My Thumb,Time Is On My Side, and Lady Jane on the Royal Albert Hall, live, unissued, side of this album.
The tempos are speeded up and you can almost hear Jagger doing a Johnny Rotten style sneer.
I wish I knew about these recordings when I was doing my little review.
Side A of this album is original studio classics of some of the tunes that the stones had in there set whilst making the Gimme Shelter movie.
This album will make a fine addition to any Stones fan collection.
