1.  This Colpix 646 is, of course, the Ronettes' FIRST record as the Ronettes...  
2.   When I began collecting Ronettes' records and memorabilia I set my sights on this record.   I ended up waiting a long time to get a decent copy; and it cost me.   Since then, I  have struggled to acquire additional copies whenever someone hinted that they were willing to part with theirs.    
Right now our country's current economic struggles are forcing financially challenged collectors to sell off some of their prized possessions.   So we are seeing a few copies of this Colpix 646 come up for sale.   That said, most of the copies are being listed at prices that reflect the owner's emotional attachment to what he or she knows is the true value of this record.   Think about it.   This is the Ronettes' first record.    This is not "Be My Baby".   How many copies of this record are still around?   The Ronettes were no big deal when they were with Colpix.   Copies of this record were not given the respect they would have been given if everyone knew the Ronettes would become an iconic girl group.    I am letting this copy go because I have two other beautiful copies that I fought hard to get, and that was my goal. Those copies are both now part of very expensive framed pieces that I have here above me on my home office wall.   If you want to check out one of those pieces; it is photo #3 in this listing.   This is a special record and deserves to be treated as such.
3.   You've been there.   You see a sweet record listed, you put it on your WATCH list, check back, check back again a few times.  Then, all of a sudden, it's gone and you are kicking yourself.   
If you are just hoping to get this record at a rock bottom price, you can afford to wait and watch and hope to jump in with 10 seconds to go in the auction and hope to beat out that other buyer who is somewhere hovering over the countdown too.    And if the other guys wins, or if someone buys it outright for the Buy It Now price and the record falls off of EBay, no big deal.   But if you are a REAL Ronettes' fan and don't have this record, you have to have it.   You can't play around wishing and hoping.   You are sitting there and it starts to creep into your mind, "When is there going to be another copy of this record for sale in this condition at a price I can live with?"   And then you think about stuff you have spent money on recently vs. what you would pay for this record.   That's right.  It's peanuts for this record.    So if you want to be one of those few who have it, make your move now, or risk kicking yourself later.  
4.  I have play tested both sides of this record, and there are no pops, no skips, no ticks...the sound is great.   The vinyl does have marks.  It's not unblemished.   If it was, you can bet I wouldn't have listed it listed it at all.  But this is a nice copy.  Ronnie, Estelle and Nedra sound like they are right in the same room with you when you play it.   And you can see the labels very well in the photos.  Nice.  I don't buy junk. And I don't sell junk.  This is not a record that has been abused.   You also get the original Colpix record sleeve with your purchase.
