Rossini overtures DECCA SXL ED1 Original recording
Sought after version SXL 2266 wide band groove
Vinyl is in really nice condition. Beautiful glossy black with just a few faint wisps only visible in certain light. It spins dead flat on my turntable
I've play tested all the way through on both sides and there are no loud ticks, skips or significant problems.
Some static and hiss, most notable in the quiet passages, of which there are quite a few on this recording. Ideally would benefit from a deep clean on a proper record cleaning machine.
The outer cover is excellent. Very flat with tight seams. There are a few signs of handling and a very faint crease top right corner. The crease doesnt go through both covers, it's only on thre front and is extremely light. Plus there's a tiny tear on the front opening edge
The inner sleeve I believe is the original but it does have some issues.. Some creasing on the bottom corners but the main problem is the polythene liner has become detached and crumpled. It also sticks to the vinyl and can leave suction marks if the record is stored in this sleeve, I strongly recommend using an alternative sleeve for storage. It will be posted in another sleeve for this purpose.
