Description
We are thrilled and honoured to be offering for sale a number of items from the late Stan Tracey's own personal collection on behalf of his son Clark Tracey. This includes many extremely rare albums, some purchased by Stan during his time in New York, plus test pressings and other gems collected over his lifetime as a musician and composer.
A 1983 Japanese Reissue of Roy Haynes - Cymbalism. Released on a replica of the original 1963 purple New Jazz label.
The vinyl has been Degritter cleaned and is spotlessly clean with excellent gloss & a couple of very faint scuffs. Clean labels and spindle marks. Graded EX
Playback reveals a pure, clean & very detailed sound, excellent dynamics, typically vibrant Japanese pressing. Lovely quiet vinyl with just occasional crackle audible between tracks.
The heavyweight cardboard sleeve is mainly solid apart from the spine which has degraded - approx 50% has gone in the centre. There is some water staining visible to the rear plus a small patch of surface wear to the front near the spine ( see photos).
The original inner sleeve is present, we have however decanted the record into a brand new poly lined inner to keep it pristine after cleaning.
