Description
This item is a first press stereo album released in 1962 on Impulse Records by The Roy Haynes Quartet entitled 'Out Of The Afternoon'. Record label and number is Impulse Records A-23 (AS-23 on the record label). Record itself looks to be in very good condition with visible hairline scuffs but record played and sounded great. There are two areas of a repeating click on the song 'Moon Ray' on Side 1 that each last for about 30 seconds. The rest of the record played very nicely. Record was cleaned on a Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine. Record labels do show some spindle wear. Record labels have the print 'A Product Of Am-Par Record Corp' at the bottom of the record label (see photos). Matrix numbers are:
SIDE 1 - AS-23 A Stereo VAN GELDER
SIDE 2 - AS-23 B Stereo VAN GELDER
Gatefold record cover is in very good plus condition with some light wear, spitting of the paper inside the cover at the spine, some writing inside of the gatefold cover and some wear at the lower left corner. Back of the gatefold cover has a price sticker affixed to the cover and the letter 'S' is also written on the back of the cover (see photos). Album comes complete with its original Impulse Records paper inner sleeve. See photos for song listings. A great addition to your Jazz album collection! Money back if not satisfied.
