Record Gradings

Our grading system covers the following grades (from best to worst):

  • Mint (M),
  • Near Mint (NM),
  • Very Good (VG++, VG+, VG),
  • Good (G),
  • Poor (P)

A + or - following any grading used would denote that the record is an upper (+) or lower (-) end example of that grading. For example, G+ would be closer to VG as opposed to G-, which would be nearer to P.

All items for dispatch are carefully packaged to ensure safe arrival. Whether it be for same-state or international deliveries, you can rest assured that your order will have been given sufficient padding and protection from any bumps or knocks you could reasonably expect in transit. Vinyl LP’s are sent in strong, Australian made corrugated cardboard LP mailers with stiffening sheets and either bubble or foam wrap. We offer the same mailers in various quantities through our online store, click here to check them out.

All records sent within Australia via Goodwax on eBay are covered for loss/damage in transit. Please note that if an item is damaged in transit, proof of damage may be requested. For buyers outside of Australia, be sure to request cover for loss/damage in transit. If you do not request this, your package will not be covered and a refund will not be provided in case of loss or damage. Please see our return policy here for more information.

For delivery of larger items such as electronics (including turntables, tape decks, amps, speakers etc) we often use different freight companies so options are advised via email prior to purchase.

Returns

Change of mind or Incorrect order

Please carefully review cart items during checkout to prevent any incorrect orders being placed. If you have placed an order for an incorrect item or requested delivery to an incorrect address, please contact us immediately via eBay or our website (see: Contact) so that we may amend or cancel the order prior to dispatch (if applicable).

Item conditions

In case of new or used electronics we offer a full refund in case of broken or malfunctioning goods within 14 days of receiving them. This is conditional upon customers taking fair and reasonable steps to troubleshoot faults and/or returning items to Goodwax Records. We encourage that customers check our Record Gradings before placing any orders for new or used vinyl records. We do not offer refunds for accurate, but misunderstood condition gradings. If you're not sure, please message us. If you believe an item has been improperly graded, please contact us (see: Contact) so that we can discuss options.

Loss or damage in transit

Postal insurance to cover loss or damage during transit is included by default for Australian customers. For customers outside of Australia, it will be provided upon request (where available). If you fail to request this, a refund will not be issued in case of loss or damage in transit.
