Capitol Manufacturing Associate Reference Pressing LP - Capitol Single Release No. 1033

Capitol X PRO 4023. MINT / STILL SEALED IN PLASTIC, in plain white sleeve.

Rarely-seen "Capitol Manufacturing Associate Reference Pressing" LP, featuring tracks from Capitol singles to be released on February 7, 1966, presumably collected on this test vinyl for use by the quality control department of their affiliated/overseas pressing plants(?) It's hard to find much information about these Capitol "reference pressings", but they sure are attractive artifacts! I found a few in Canberra, Australia, some years back, and are offering them here.

This one is nice in that it contains both sides of the collectable Northern Soul mod/soul stomper "Hey Girl" by Ruben Wright! Also included on this curious test LP are both sides of concurrent 7" releases by The Lettermen, Jackie Gleason, Jean Shepard, and The Gallants ("Batman Theme" and "Robin's Blues").
