Ruggiero RICCI w/ GAMBA Sarasate Saint-Saens LONDON BB STEREO FFSS CS 6165 RARE

Ruggiero Ricci w/ London Symphony Orchestra, Gamba ~ Bizet/Sarasate — Carmen-Fantasie • Sarasate — Zigeunerweisen • Saint-Saens — Havanaise London CS 6165 1960
Original London Stereo pressing of Ricci's extraordinary performances of Sarasate and Saint-Saens violin pieces, issued in the UK as SXL 2197.
First press US London release. Blue-back cover. Deep groove. 'Made in England' on labels. Red labels with silver print and 'ffss' logos. First -1E/-2E matrix suffixes. First 1/1 stampers.
Condition Cover: VG. Some bumping to corners and edge wear. Ringwear and sticker tear mark on back cover.  Labels: VG+. Some spindle marks.  Vinyl: VG+ to VG++. Despite some sleeve storage marks, vinyl retains high gloss. Plays exceptionally well on my system, with only a few occasional pops and some sporadic faint surface noise.
