Description
For sale is Rush's Permanent Waves, released in 1980 on Mercury Records. I bought this used and immediately put this album, like all my records, into a protective MFSL archival inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the record. In the dead wax between the label and the last track are the matrix numbers B-3/A-3, signifying that an early stamper was used for this first pressing. This is a hallmark of superior sound quality from a recording. The inner sleeve is Excellent with creases and some small ink writing. The cover is graded as Excellent because of some stress cracks along the spine and corner rubs. The spine has a little color loss because of the stress cracks and corner wear. The vinyl is Near Mint. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life to it. This is the best copy of this hard to find record that I have ever seen or heard. You would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have more albums of all genres in my Ebay store. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
