Confusion surrounds the origin of the stereo edition of FANTASTICA (as is similarly the case with Liberty Records titles around 1960) since, among other things, Liberty was issuing quantities in the midst of a label design change. And yet, the Hollywood RCA Records Pressing Plant stamp (the 'H') occured on this title as early as 1958. Furthermore, some of the titles listed on the dust sleeve were definitely released as late as 1961. Can a record be categorized as a repress if it is, presumably, in constant production? Can a record be categorized as a repress if it is pressed well before its release (with a new label slapped on for good measure)? I have not found any certain designation of this title released after 1958. I have found no indication that production ceased only to begin again (in this case, circa 1961). But since I source this information through Discogs I will leave the question of the record's origin to your better judgement, as Discogs contributors do not make any promises. The record was clearly circulated into the retail market during the early 1960's.
