Original OZ 45” released in 1969 on the Black and Silver Columbia Records Label with Publishing logo on left. Cat: DO8710.Every so often Timewarp is lucky enough to come across a special record collection. Over the following weeks I will be listing records from one such collection. Collected mostly during the 1960’s and 70’s this set of records have been well preserved and cared for some dating back to over 50 years old!! Our regular customers will be aware that if we do grade a record at Near Mint expect it to have only been played a handful of times at most and to sound superb. We hope you enjoy the records we will be offering as much as we have in presenting them to you.
The Russell Morris story began around 1966, when the gangly, sandy-haired 17-year-old pop enthusiast started hanging around gigs by The Groop, who were a favourite of Melbourne pop fans during 1966. Russell was hoping to get a break for his fledgling band, Somebody's Image. Although they were raw and inexperienced, Russell and his mates were totally committed to their cause and they practised fervently for five months before playing their first live gig (which was headlined by The Groop). They immediately attracted the attention of their future mentors particularly keyboardist Brian Cadd and singer Ronnie Charles and a long, valuable and fruitful musical friendship was forged. There are a few very light spindle marks on labels. Record is in Near Mint condition.

Wrapping method: All CD's are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
