Description
Though I have been selling on Ebay for years, this is my first foray into selling LP's. Long story somewhat shorter....A gentleman who has been a jazz aficionado for more than 50 years has asked me to sell his vast LP collection for him. He has been paying to keep them in a climate controlled for almost a decade, and is tired of paying to store records he no longer plays. He is also in his 90's and wants to sell these now, and not leave this "problem" for his children.
This will be a very SLOW process. The Owner of these LP's lives quite a distance away from me,(and is not online) and I have to mail him a list of LP's I bring home so he can say whether or not I should sell these. Yes, he wants to keep some, at least for sentimental value, since he has most of the music already on Cds. So, please keep checking back in the coming days/weeks/months as I put them up! Please check out the photos below. I'm going to use larger images than most sellers, which will probably make the records look worse than in person, but at least there should be no surprises for you!
The second of two Ruth Brown Lps I am putting up is Late Date with Ruth Brown, arranged and conducted by Richard Wess. From Atlantic records. LP is VG++ don't see any scuffs, but when I played the first track, it was "noisier" than other LPs. Double checked it, didn't see a reason why that should be. It got better as the record played. I don't even have one of those old black rolling record cleaners, but I imagine that would help. I am way too chicken to try any other way of cleaning other than blowing air. Jacket is very nice, VG++ with just a small sticker on back and slight staining to mention. Paper sleeve is still solid.
