DESCRIPTION: One of the rare, iconic Sunshine 78s with Kid Ory's band recorded in Los Angeles in June 1922. Based on what's been offered for sale in the past several years, this seems to be the rarest of the 3 Sunshine's with Kid Ory.
As seen in photos, there is a bare spot in the shellac on the "Maybe Some Day" side, a pressing defect which plays through with several clicks and some small label tears around the edge. There is also a small edge crack about 1/4" into grooves and one stripped groove which plays through on my system. Generally speaking, the record plays strong and clear without distortion, some very light occasional crackle from scratches, and almost non-existent surface noise except for a few areas where it's still very light. So while it's not an ideal copy, it might be a long time before a better copy comes up for sale.
