Ruts - The Crack 1979 UK 1st Press (Strawberry master) VG+/VG+
RUTS - THE CRACK 1979 UK first pressing, mastered at Strawberry A relentless, gold-standard masterpiece of UK punk and reggae-fusion, this original 1979 UK pressing of The Ruts' debut album The Crack (Virgin – V 2132) is an absolute essential. Driven by Malcolm Owen’s unforgettable, impassioned lead vocals and Paul Fox’s fiery guitar work, the album seamlessly blends hard-hitting punk rock urgency with flawless, heavy dub-reggae rhythms. Packed with immortal anthems like "Babylon's Burning," "Something That I Said," and the deeply atmospheric dub-punk track "Jah War," this record stands alongside The Clash's London Calling as one of the single greatest British punk LPs ever cut. A mandatory centerpiece for any serious punk, ska, post-punk, or 1970s vinyl collector! 1979 UK import/release by Virgin, catalog # V 2132. First pressing version mastered by Strawberry and recorded at Town House except Human Punk, recorded live at The Marquee 19th July 1979. Sleeve grades VG+. Very light corner dings and some edgewear on the bottom, otherwise excellent shape. Generic white inner sleeve, maybe original. Has original "Don't Pay More than £3.99" sticker on front. Vinyl grades VG+. Play tests perfect with no issues/deficiencies. Vinyl is super clean, maybe a couple light surface marks, pretty close to a NM disc under magnification; nothing that impacts playback.Ruts - The Crack 1979 UK 1st Press (Strawberry master) VG+/VG+
