New unplayed 2011 Raro Records release Italian import gatefold black vinyl LP.
Limited numbered 750 pressing. Minor shelf wear, otherwise mint.
Italian singer Jenny Sorrenti decided in 2011 to record another Saint Just release to go along with their two albums from the ’70s. The original Saint Just were a unique mix, loved by prog fans. A blend of British folk and American rock, psychedelia and elegant, classy instrumental journeys and soaring vocals. All of this made Saint Just a cult band and such they stayed through the decades that followed until now. Jenny went on her solo career experimenting with Mediterranean music but at the end of 2010 she announced that Saint Just were back. She had to find the right musicians and the perfect mix: the result is “Prog Explosion”, an album released as vinyl only and devoted to prog rock. Saint Just Again have composed a lively, varied record, focused on a different song structure, open to a lot of influences, from prog to psychedelia to jazz rock. The title-track is helped by the male vocals of Francesco di Giacomo (singer of prog legends Banco del Mutuo Soccorso). Overall, one of the best prog band 'reunions' in quite awhile.
