Description
Due to two pressures – lack of space and my wife, I need to have a re-organization of my record collection!!! I don’t want to do this but it will mean there will be some offers coming up in the next few months. Some great albums from the sixties right the way through to the late seventies; some classic originals, some of my duplications and some reissues. This will enable me to rebuild the collection around other albums I want in my collection.

Year: 1968
This folk duo with his older sister Sally provided Mike Oldfield with his first musical outing on vinyl. After an album and 45, in 1969, he left to play guitar and bass with Kevin Ayers and The Whole World before recording Tubular Bells in the studio, which became his magnum opus. His sister Sally continued her career as a folk singer and enjoyed some commercial success in 1979 with her 45, Mirrors.
The Children Of The Sun album remains a classic period piece of early recordings by the duo.

This is the original gatefold issue of this now quite rare album.
The sleeve is laminated and is still in very good condition with just a hint of bubbling on the edges. There are no tears, creases, stains or writing on the cover.
Inside the gatefold is the flip backs as was the norm in the early to late sixties lp covers.
Labels:
These are the purple and white early Transatlantic type and are in great condition. They appear to be slightly textured. There is no writing on them nor scuff marks. There is little if any spindle hole wear or spindle marks on them.

Vinyl:
The vinyl is nice and glossy still and plays really nicely all the way through without any problems. There are no skips, jumps, sticking or scratches to contend with. There may be a little hiss on the quiter passages but this is due to age rather than to any abuse at all.
