1962 - MINT ORIGINAL PRESS - MUST SEE!

During the middle 1970s I was owner/operator of a small oldies record store in Bethlehem,Pa. When I closed down the business in 1979, I still had many records left that had not sold to the public or other dealers.
I kept many of those records, and this SAM COOKE ALBUM is one of the records I still had after the retail store closed.
I originally purchased this album from Kape International, back then a Brooklyn record wholesale / retail outlet. It was purchased to help stock the new oldies store that I was opening in the middle 1970s.
I do not believe that this record ever touched a turntable UNTIL I placed it on my trusty Dual just prior to listing this auction. I placed it on the table to make sure it was not warped, pressed off center, etc.
This is BRAND NEW, LEFT OVER STORE STOCK, an ORIGINAL 1962 PRESS of the album "TWISTIN' THE NIGHT AWAY" from the legendary SAM COOKE!

HERE IS THE VINYL AND LP JACKET CONDITION:
VINYL CONDITION:
- MINT, original 1962 pressing!
- Vinyl is still in the MINT condition RCA paper jacket
This is a simply gorgeous piece of American Soul / R & B / Rock N Roll history.
JACKET CONDITION:
- Unlike the mint vinyl, the outer jacket shows the original shelf and storage wear of being displayed in retail record stores during the 1960s and 1970s.
- There are no spine or edge splits but there is spine & edge wear
- Due to edge wear and one corner damage I can only rate the jacket as VG PLUS
- The jacket front picture and rear text are in Mint Minus condition.
- I have included a number of extra pictures showing the condition of the edges so please look them over carefully.
