BLUE NOTE: BST-84249 "A NEW JAZZ CONCEPTION" SAM RIVERS

  Original Pressing SAM RIVERS LP  on the BLUE NOTE Label

This auction is for an original pressing, stereo, blue on white, NEW YORK USA address label, BLUE NOTE Records, 1966 release of "A NEW JAZZ CONCEPTION" BST-84249, by SAM RIVERS.   The album features:   SAM RIVERS - tenor, soprano, flute;  HAL GALPER - piano;  HERBERT LEWIS - bass; and  STEVE ELLINGTON - drums.

The LP is not play graded but visually I would rate it NM- based on Goldmine standards: Disc has retained nearly all of its original luster and looks clean and well cared for.  No visible scratches, scuffs, or marks.  There is a tiny "CO" written in black ink on the label of side 1 (see photo).  The original jacket also looks nice and shows light wear with no writing, marks, or dings.  There is a green label on the upper right (see photos) and some very light ring wear beginning on the top.  The seams are intact and tight except a 1" center split on the bottom and a piece of tape over it.  Light wear to corners with very minor dings.  Back cover is also in nice condition with light wear but no marks, or dings.  Record ships with a non-original poly-lined inner sleeve.  No reserve!
