These MCA IMPULSE reissues were pressed in extremely low numbers, which is why you don't see them available very often. During my radio career, I developed many great friendships with record label reps. One of my closer friends, who worked for MCA sent me a complete set of these reissues when they were released.
They are ALL pressed on pure vinyl - which is translucent if held up to a strong light (a surprising decision for a label like MCA who did not always have high standards). Pure vinyl means play will be noise-free. These Classic albums deserve that.
NONE of these have ever been played. They were stored for some 30 years and now I'm parting with them.
The 1986 issues had paper photo/info inner sleeves. Some of those pressings 'do' have some light visible paper scuffs from those sleeves. They are strictly cosmetic and never affect play.
Starting in 1987, they were issued with poly inners - a much better decision. Most of those pressings are visually spotless.

Most were stored carefully, some were not. All of my gradings are visual and more often than not, quite generous.

PLEASE READ MY MY GRADING SCALE
(Near Mint and Mint Minus are not the same grade)
Near Mint: Our highest grade for an opened vinyl. Record will be close to perfect in the playing area. May have minor scuffs on edges from decades of storage, or a small hairline mark, scratch or some paper scuffs on play area but no audible distractions.
It's near mint, not mint (which would be 'sealed').
Mint minus: A scuff or two or a very light mark or two on either or both sides that may possibly be heard.
VG++: One step down. A few faint marks or paper scuffs that may be audible. May show some signs of use.
VG+: Scuffs & some minor scratches in the playing area. Some will more than likely be heard.
VG: Many scuffs or scratches that will be heard but record should still play through.
