Holy Grail alert! 3Lp library boxset privately recorded and micro-pressed by Sandro Brugnolini in (circa) 1964. The ultimate item for Italian library and Italian jazz collectors. Almost unknown session by Mr.Brugnolini with his MODERN JAZZ GANG crew in their best period, probably just before the recording of the mighty GLI ARCANGELI soundtrack. Players uncredited, but certainly:

Unbelievable music with some of the best jazz ever recorded in Italy, just imagine a long GLI ARCANGELI session on a library tip with a distinctive Miles Davis and Coltrane mood. Original compositions by Sandro Brugnolini for his dreamy horn section and the feeling beetween them is just out of this world! All the tracks are incredible with the stellar modal jazz TRAIN UP (soul jazz), the unbelievable bossa jazz SOUL BOSSA NOVA with soulful flute and fantastic piano, the killer hard-bop BLUE SINANTHROPUS, the long and moody 'Smog Ost' jazz LA CITTA' DI PAVESE with great vibes solo and the amazing TRAIN UP (Coltrane style). NON MI INTERESSI is breathless and it's just an alternative version of ROBERT'S IDEA (from Gli Arcangeli OST). More amazing jazz tracks like the killer hard-bop STEEL AND IRON, the insane crime modal jazz SIX GOSPEL EIGHT JAZZ, the cinematic bongo led jazz CRO MAGNON BLUES, the catchy bossa jazz ZETA BOSSA NOVA (clarone) with Brugnolini himself at the bass clarinet, the odd tempo spy jazz TRAIN UP (Coltrane style), the obsessive and swingy SMOG TIME and the elegant modal jazz waltz PICCHI. Conditions:

Boxset: VG++, very light dirty wear on front.
Records: VG++, play with a few light clicks (due to recording quality). Hearable clicking on NEANDERTHAL (last track on soundclip). Record n.2 (SMR 002) is lightly concave due to storage, does not affect sound quality. 

Grading scale (strict gradings): M, M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G.
